Book a flight through Ebay and have the Gift Certificate sent to to the luck recipient A Moment in Time
As you walk toward the office at the airstrip you see this really cool colored wing shoot into the air and notice underneath is a strange contraption with what looks to be two people inside. This is it, weeks of anticipation and it is soon to be your turn. You find yourself walking backwards so you can follow the plane as it turns back toward you flying parallel to the runway.. the engine pitch changes slightly as it levels out and the rear passenger waves. You breathe in and find one of the NJU staff who welcomes you and gets you booked in. There are a few forms to fill in which you read and sign, but you ask lots of questions and hang on every answer given. You are told that you need to sign a waiver as the aircraft are not yet regulated by the FAA although they are registered with a recognized organization. We will explain that we work in accordance with USUA recommendations and qualification. You will learn how with the introduction of the new Sports Pilot rules trike are now being acknowledged as an aircraft type and that you can work toward your Sports Pilot (FAA) license. Then with your ground briefing completed you will be shown how to pre-flight the aircraft ready for flight. Where do I sit? In the early stages of training you sit in the rear seat and progress to the front only if your instructor feels your ready. So strapped securely in the back the instructor helps you on with your head set and helmet "Can you hear me" comes loud and clear through the headphones as your instructor gets settled in the front seat. You are talked through take off procedure and then it's your turn, as the plane takes off your looking round seeing the ground drop away. What's that another car stops in the parking lot and you see a couple get out walking to the office they stop. As your aircraft executes a turn the instructor is explaining his actions aa well as the pattern procedure, you look down to the couple looking up and wave and smile. "You can take control now, just follow my actions" you hear and the ground passes by underneath you. You experience straight and level flight, gentle turns and following an old railway line, you find it hard to follow at first but it is your first time. Some simple S turns and it's time to turn back "follow the railway" you hear and after a few minutes you see that you have done just that in a straight line as well. The instructor takes over as you reach the airport and the landing is smooth, as you park the airplane you can't wait to tell everyone how well you've done. Did you enjoy that ? It was better than I ever could have imagined it, can we talk about booking another lesson? Two things we are confident you will take with you, a big smile and an experience you will be excitingly telling your friends and family about for years. We look forward to booking you in for your Trial Flight
